What is transfer?

The social economy has reached a key moment for international scaling up. Academic and practical knowledge in social economy are numerous and diverse, but too much of them remain unreachable or difficult to put into practice.

Meanwhile, there is a growing demand for expertise in building public policies and developing meaningful SSE initiatives for the population.

By developing transfer approaches, C.I.T.I.E.S. aims to promote the appropriation of knowledge and its concrete translation into the practices and projects of the SSE.

Expertise comes from a variety of sources: university researchers, public and private practitioners.

Transfer begins by bringing these actors together.

Each actor is a producer of knowledge, different in nature but equal in value.

Once identified and documented, academic and practical knowledge is translated and adapted to transform practices and generate new projects.

C.I.T.I.E.S. see transfer as an operational tool: it favours connecting practitioners together, as well as producing easily usable tools and allowing a change of practices.
